FREE OUTDOOR MOVIE

Join Lightning McQueen and his friends for the movie "Cars" this Saturday night (April 9)!! This movie will be shown outdoors so bring your chairs and blankets. The movie will be held in the lot across from the post office (corner of 6th and Main). Show will begin approximately 8:30 p.m. Concessions will be available. Don't forget to enjoy all of the other great "Smoke in the Spring" events happening in Osage City on Saturday!

Thursday, March 31st 7:00 p.m.
A Harlem Wizards game offers families two hours of amazing basketball talent combined with hilarious comedy and tricks. Come see your favorite teachers, coaches, and community members play against the Wizards in this one-of-a-kind game. Tickets are on sale now! Advanced tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults. PTA will hold its November meeting on Wednesday, November 3rd at 6:30 p.m. in the OCES Library. Childcare is provided. It's also time again for PTA Bingo! Bingo night will be Friday, November 5th at 6 p.m. Cards are available for $1 each. PTA has lots of great prizes available, including two tickets to a KC Chiefs home game. Please join us for this fun family event.

All movies will be shown at 3 p.m. in the Osage City Schools Auditorium. This is a FREE family event. Concessions will be available; movies will also be raffled off ($1/chance).

Save your Box Tops!

Make sure you are saving your Box Tops! We will be collecting Box Tops again in early October. A class prize will be awarded to the class with the most Box Tops. Last year, OCES ranked 137 out of over 700 schools in Box Tops collection. That's great!! We're hoping to do even better this year. So start saving, and let your neighbors, aunts, grandmas, and friends know to save them too!

Back to School Movie Night

PTA is pleased to host a back to school bash, featuring an outdoor family movie. The movie will be held on the school playground on Friday, August 20 at 9 p.m. Popcorn, kettle corn, and fresh lemonade will be available for purchase. The movie is FREE to all students and families, and all are welcome.

PTA is looking for members to make the 2010-11 school year the best one yet!! Osage City PTA serves students and teachers, K-8, and welcomes all parents. You can join PTA during school enrollment or at Back to School Nite on August 17. PTA fees are only $3 per person (which includes state and national membership) and you receive many benefits for being a PTA member. Osage City PTA offers several programs for families and fun events for students and teachers during the school year. Be a part of PTA today!

PTA Hosts the Second Annual Family Gingerbread House Day.

The weather outside may have been frightful, but on December 5, 2009 more than one hundred people got together in the Osage City Elementary School cafeteria for some family fun building gingerbread houses. These families had a great time working together to build some really amazing gingerbread creations. The families didn't stop at just building houses. There were cars, trains, purses, and skyscrapers constructed by these creative families. Everyone had a great time getting into the holiday spirit with PTA.
